Window Tinting FAQ

Can I have my front 2 door windows tinted?

Yes, you can. B.N.Window Tinting & Car Wrapping have a new film that can be legally installed on front door windows. Our automotive film offers protection against UVA rays whilst sitting in the car and can prevent sun-induced skin damage.

How long before I can use my windows?

Allow the film to cure for 3 to 5 days before lowering windows. Your new film takes between 1 and 2 weeks to fully cure. Please note that window film will take a lot longer to dry out and cure in winter than opposed to the summer months.

Why on some windows do you get a silver line around the edge?

On some windows, mainly non-winding, there are black dots around the edge of the glass. This is called the dot matrix and is produced using a Teflon type material, which is factory fitted. When the film is applied it sticks to the dot matrix and not the glass, which traps air and water between the dots giving it the silver look. With some windows, it can’t be helped whereas others will evaporate and look fine. It all depends on the thickness of the dot matrix, which will vary depending on the make and model of the car.

Do you offer a guarantee with your work?

Yes, we offer a lifetime guarantee for installation, as long as you own your car.
